If you're looking for professional advice, support and helpful tips to deal with an issue or challenge you are facing, and would like to do so from the comfort and privacy of your own home, then online consultations with our team of qualified professionals might be a convenient solution.

Online consultations with our psychotherapists or counsellors do require you to have access to a private space with no interruptions, so if this is not possible for you at home, we recommend an in person session at the MyMama Hub in Naxxar.

Our online services are not for you if your condition requires physical examination by a healthcare professional - our midwives and paediatrician currently take in person appointments at our Hub. Our midwives also offer a number of home-based services, including postpartum home visits.

DO NOT BOOK AN ONLINE CONSULTATION IF YOU, YOUR CHILD OR A FAMILY MEMBER NEED URGENT MEDICAL CARE - in this case, please visit a clinic or hospital of your choice. 

We keep it simple - if you have a reliable internet connection and a smartphone, tablet or computer, then you're all set for online consultations. For added privacy, you might want to use your headphones or earphones during a session.

After payment is affected, you will receive an email from us with the details you need to access your online consultation. All you need to do from your end is click on the Zoom link once it's time for your appointment - easy peasy!

We will also send you reminders via email and SMS prior to your scheduled slot.

We've compiled a list of useful tips you should follow for a fruitful session:

1) Follow the instructions on the confirmation email and keep your Zoom meeting link handy to be able to access it when it's time for your appointment. Test your internet connection, camera, microphone and speakers prior to the appointment, and ensure they are in working order.

2) Prior to your consultation, jot down the points that you'd like to discuss to make sure that you don't miss out on any important communications.

3) Find a private and comfortable spot. Advise other members of the household that you have an online appointment and need some privacy. Avoid having pets around who might disturb you during your session and refrain from taking phone calls. 

4) IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO SWITCH ON YOUR CAMERA during your online consultation so as to facilitate communication during the session.

Our team of professionals will not record online consultations, and will keep medical records only if, for the purpose of monitoring treatments and follow ups, you will be booking recurring consultations with them.

In certain scenarios, healthcare professional might need you to reveal information about your medical history prior to or during the session to be able to offer his or her advice effectively, but by no means will any of your medical information be accessed or stored by MyMama Ltd. 

In certain cases, you might need to confirm your identification by showing your ID card or passport (such as when requiring prescriptions). MyMama Ltd will not store any of this information, except for your name and surname, email address and phone number that you voluntarily give when booking an online consultation. Your phone number is ONLY used to contact you in case of urgent announcements related to your booked session and will never be passed on to third parties.

If you are unable to attend an appointment, our confirmation email contains a link whereby you can reschedule or cancel your online consultation or home-based service. Please refer to our TERMS & CONDITIONS for more details about cancellations, rescheduling and refunds.
