Fleur Bugeja
NUTRITIONIST
Fleur Bugeja is a state registered nutritionist with specialisation in obesity and weight management. She has over fifteen years’ experience in the field. She has attended multiple seminars and conferences, both locally and abroad to keep abreast with latest scientific developments in nutrition and obesity.
She is currently employed as a Nutritionist (Allied Health Practitioner) with the Ministry for Health, where she plans and delivers weight management interventions as part of an integrated approach in the management of obesity in Malta, together with health talks within the community.
She has been a keynote speaker at several conferences, schools, companies and sport organisations across the country. For the past six years, Fleur has also been giving lectures at the University of Malta on the subject of nutrition and weight-related issues to undergraduate students and has supervised and guided several students with their nutrition dissertations, both at undergraduate and master’s level. At present, Fleur holds the position of General Secretary of the Malta Obesity Association.
Fleur holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy and a Post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics from The University of Malta. She completed her nutrition studies at the University of Chester, UK, where she graduated with a Master’s degree in Weight Management with Distinction. Presently, Fleur is studying for a Diploma in Sports Nutrition with the International Olympic Committee.
Fleur is available for one-to-one online consultations for pregnant women and mothers focused on weight management, nutrition during pregnancy and to support breastfeeding, nutrition for PCOS and postpartum weightloss programs.
