Gabriella Farrugia Cassar is a Senior Clinical Psychologist, Gestalt Psychotherapist, and Registered Clinical Supervisor. Alongside her clinical expertise, she is also a certified Yoga Instructor, teaching children, adolescents, and prenatal yoga.

With over a decade of experience at Mater Dei Hospital, Gabriella has developed extensive experience in Perinatal Mental Health and Paediatric Palliative Care. She currently serves as Psychology Lead for both services, playing a key role in shaping compassionate, high-quality care. Her work focuses extensively on supporting individuals during the pregnancy journey and postpartum as well as parents with infants admitted to NPICU, particularly those navigating emotional and mental health challenges, loss, infertility, or the complexities of adjusting to parenthood.

Gabriella is especially passionate about walking alongside parents and children during times of vulnerability - whether following a traumatic birth, during neonatal or paediatric intensive care experiences, in grief, or when facing chronic illness within the family. Her approach is grounded in empathy, safety, and deep respect for each individual’s unique journey.

Blending her background in psychology with her love for movement, Gabriella brings a unique holistic approach to her work. As a certified instructor in children’s, adolescents’, and prenatal yoga, she supports both mind and body at every stage of life.

At MyMama, Gabriella will be offering individual psychotherapy and psychological support sessions, alongside prenatal yoga and yoga sessions for children and parents. Her work integrates evidence-based psychological care with the restorative power of movement, creating a nurturing space for healing, connection, and overall wellbeing.
