Dr Samuel Aquilina
PAEDIATRICIAN
He is currently sub-specialising in Community Paediatrics and is also a lecturer at the University of Malta. His main interests are child development, mental health and nutrition. He was lead researcher in the first National Childhood BMI study in Malta and has been part of several research projects about obesity. He has authored and co-authored a number of papers, which have been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences. He is also active in committees of two voluntary organisations - the Maltese Paediatric Association and the Association of Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
In his free time he loves running after his daughters Aurora and Beatrice, spending quality time with his wife Charlene, and playing a few notes on his saxophone.
